Ireland - Day 8+9 - Tetrapods & Gap of Dunloe
I woke up this morning at the peak of my symptoms, but it wouldn't stop me from seeing more things! I had decided to stay in Cahersiveen last night, because I felt like I needed more time to see more things in County Kerry.

I headed to the tetrapod trackway on Valentia island, where you could see the footprints of one of the first creatures to walk on land some 385 million years ago.

You can see the steps on the mid-right here.

Making my way back to Killarney, I walked to the first bridge in the Gap of Dunloe.

The Gap of Dunloe is a beautiful mountain pass that is very very narrow, and many people advised against driving it, but honestly, driving in Ireland was not much different than driving in Aotearoa/New Zealand's South Island. Seeing as the road was very quiet this late in the season, I headed back to my car and drove through the road. It was definitely windy and narrow, but nothing I couldn't handle.

The views were fantastic, but the downside to driving is that there weren't very many places to stop and take photos! But being sick I probably wouldn't have hiked the full length anyways.
From there I stayed in Cork for the night, and headed to Dublin via Waterford.
